Right From Our Own Backyard

Yesterday morning I put Lulu in the backyard to do her biz and started getting breakfast ready for the kids. A few minutes later Lulu started barking (not unusual for the rat). But this time her bark was a going nuts kind of bark and she wasn't letting up. Normally I don't check on her I just yell to the back door for her to shut up and get inside. I thought to myself, I better go see what has got her all worked up. I thought for sure I would find a bunny or a snake or something fun like that. As I get to the back door she is going in circles looking up at the sky (it looked pretty funny) and I here this hissing sound. I look up to see four giant hot air balloons going over our house.

The balloons were close enough to our house that we could see the people in the baskets and hear the hiss of the flame. It was so cool to see. I ran inside and got my camera but by the time I got back they were higher and headed over the neighbors house. The pictures don't do it justice as to how cool it was. Tommy and Madison were jumping up and down yelling and waving at the people.

It is not uncommon to see hot air balloons in the sky every morning in Albuquerque, but to have 4 of them go over our house and be so close, it was an amazing sight.

Hi, I was on PW's website and clicked on your link (I click on more random links than I should, one day it might get me in trouble...) anyway, I just love finding new blogs to look at.
Your kids are so cute! Happy Friday!
