Going Waaaaaay Back.....

Way back in August our family, along with the Omeara's (our neighbor) went to Durango Colorado for a little vacation. Here are some pictures of the fun stuff we did there.

These pictures were taken in front of a natural hot springs on the side of the highway. Our families taking a scenic walk along the river. We saw lots of deer.

We went white water rafting. Being the nice parents that we are, we put all the older kids in one raft and the adults along with Tommy and Maddy in another raft. After we stopped for a break, Madison had decided she had had enough of the boring adult raft and jumped ship to go in the kids' raft. Luckily they had a very patient tour guide.

It wouldn't be a trip to Durango without going to the Bar D. It's dinner and a show.

Tim and Landon decided to go quad riding in the mountains right behind the townhouses we stayed in, so Deede and I stayed at the resort with the kids and did all the fun things that the resort had to offer.

Lets just say, it was very interesting.The kids got to meet the cast after the show. One of the actors name was Landon and Tommy was so excited to tell him that his Daddy's name is Landon too.

I think everybody's favorite was when we went horse back riding. There's a couple that live on the outskirts of Durango and they have a horse back riding business. We got to horse back ride for an hour or so, then they fed us a cowboy dinner out in the mountains and then we mounted our horses again to head back to the house. It was so much fun and everyone got to ride their own horse.
