About the same time every evening the grass in our front yard gets eaten by several of these:
The kids enjoy watching them from the front window. Our dog, Lulu, enjoys tormenting these poor bunnies, or maybe it is the bunnies that torment her, I am not sure. Last week Madison found a dead baby bunny in our back yard. We're not sure if Lulu got it or his mom abandoned him. Either way Lulu found it to be a tasty treat. YUCK!!! After prying the carcass from Lulu, Landon (our hero) laid the bunny to rest. Unfortunately, Lulu unearthed it the very next day.
These jackrabbits run wild throughout our community. There are hundreds of them everywhere. When we drive through the neighborhood at night they scatter like cockroaches.
The two bunnies in the above picture are no bigger than a softball. They live in the next door neighbors fence. Our kids will occasionally put some carrots and lettuce out there for them. Our garden is doomed if we ever plant one.

Lulu, watching and waiting for the next bunny sighting.

That's just funny! I love the look on Lulu's face, ready and waiting. Don't you just love dogs and things that are dead and smell? UGH! Lola loves to rub herself in it. SICK! You'll have to get creative with a garden there, your grass is beautiful though, sorry that they love to eat it.
I'm reminded of the story Peter Cottontail and Mr. McGRegor...bunnies are so cute...and your little pup is pretty cute too.
I think you all need to sport some Mesa High Paraphernalia. I hear there is an awsome purple and gold jersey out there with the number 7 and the name Skinner on the back.
