We are so excited, Mom and Dad just returned from our house hunting trip this weekend, and were fortunate enough to find a Pulte Home that will be completed in the middle of this month. The Pulte team expects for Landon to report for work the morning of April 21st there in Albuquerque. Kristin and the rest of the family will follow as soon as the school wraps up for the year on May 30th. With any luck the family will all be in Albuquerque by the start of the summer in June.
The actual town we are moving to is Rio Rancho, one of the fastest growing cities in America. It's a great family town, and there are many fellow Latter Day Saints there. Plans are under way for the construction of a new Stake Center right in the heart of the Pulte community we are moving into. In addition New Mexico's only release time seminary building is located adjacent to the future Stake Center. The city has completed a series of Baseball/Softball fields, Soccer Fields, new Library, and are soon to complete an Indoor Aquatic Center, and Ice Skating rink. All of which are less than 1 mile from our new home. Viva Rio Rancho Nueva Mexico~
We have learned that the people in New Mexico are crazy about their chili. It's gone beyond rational thinking into an obsession. A month back when I was visiting with the New Mexico team, they took me to an ITALIAN restaraunt. I ordered my Fetucine Alfredo, and the waiter asked if I'd like some green chili on that. I said why not, and out it came. Not too bad! This weekend we stopped by Micky D's for breakfast, and I noticed a gentlman walking away from the counter with pancakes and a side of green chili. I have no idea what he was planning to do. We ate several times at Gardunos and learned that you can order your chili in green or red, and it's recomended on the side (in case it's too hot for you gringos, you won't waste your food). If you want both green and red smothered on top you tell them you want it "Christmas Style". Go figure.

Lastly worth mentioning here is the annual hot air balloon festival. This year the fesival lasts from October 3rd through October 12th. We flat out can't wait for the fun to begin.

Hey Kristin! It's Lisa ( Jensen ) McNeil. I was cleaning out my desk and found your blog address on a Christmas letter. Very cute blog! Congrats on the move. That's exciting. One of my brothers used to live there and he loved it. My husband used to go there once a month for work too and liked it a lot. They have a great aquarium there too. I'm sure you're going to love it! Best of luck!

My sister and her husband lived just outside of Al-bu-kirk as we called it up home, I think their little town was called Edgewood. They loved it and their home was awesome, with wonderful views of the mountains, I know I loved visiting there. WOW! What a great adventure ahead of you guys...Good luck with the move!!
Hot dang! I love the blog. I love the floor plan of the house too. Best of Luck and with it being a little closer maybe we could plan Flag Trips. Bother Uncle Matt who makes trips up and down from flag every week.
Congratulations! We are excited and happy for you guys. We moved halfway closer to you last summer, and now you are cutting the remaining distance between us in half. If we keep this up maybe one of these days we will live close to one another! We hear great things about Albuquerque and hope that you love it.
Exciting! We love that you guys will be closer. No excuses now, hopefully this summer we can visit. I have first session summer class so it will be the end of July or beginning of August.

Hey congratulations, I just heard the rumor! I suppose if I was better about checking everyone's blog more often then maybe I wouldn't be the last to know these things. Sounds a lot like home, but how's the weather???
